Frequently Asked Questions

How does commercial network cabling installation benefit my business?

A properly installed network gives your team consistent speeds, fewer
dropped connections, and a system that’s actually organized. When
something goes wrong, it’s easier to troubleshoot. When you grow,
adding drops doesn’t mean rewiring everything. Most of our clients
notice the difference within the first week.

How much does commercial cabling installation cost in Dallas-Fort Worth?

It depends on the number of cable runs, building size, and cable type.
A small office with 10–20 drops costs less than a warehouse needing
100+ runs with conduit. Most commercial jobs in DFW run anywhere from
$1,500 for a simple office to $15,000+ for a larger build-out. We do a
free site visit first so you get an accurate number before committing
to anything.

How long does a structured cabling installation project usually take?

A small office — 10 to 20 drops — typically takes one day. A medium
office build-out with 50+ runs, patch panels, and a telecom room usually
runs two to three days. Larger warehouse or multi-floor projects can
take a week or more depending on access and phasing. We’ll give you a
realistic timeline during the site visit so you can plan around it.

Will cabling installation disrupt our business operations?

We plan every job around your schedule. If you need work done after
hours or on weekends, we do that. If the office stays open during
installation, we work in sections so your team keeps running. Most
clients tell us their staff barely noticed we were there.

What is the difference between cabling and structured cabling?

Standard cabling runs point-to-point — one cable from A to B, often
without labeling or documentation. Structured cabling is a planned
system with patch panels, organized runs, and full documentation.
It takes more time upfront but makes every future move, addition,
or repair significantly faster. For any business planning to grow,
structured is the right call.

What type of cable is best for office network wiring?

For most DFW offices, Cat6A is the right choice in 2026. It handles
10Gbps, supports PoE devices like IP cameras and wireless access
points, and won’t need replacing when your internet speeds increase.
Cat6 still works for smaller budgets or lower-demand environments.
Fiber is the right call for backbone runs between floors, long
distances, or buildings with heavy bandwidth needs. We’ll recommend
the right spec for your building during the site walk.

When should a business choose fiber optic cabling installation?

Choose fiber when copper won’t cut it. That usually means runs longer
than 100 meters, connections between buildings, backbone links between
network closets on different floors, or environments with heavy
electromagnetic interference like manufacturing floors. For standard
workstation drops in an office, Cat6A is usually the better value.
We’ll tell you honestly which one your building actually needs.

Do you provide testing, labeling, and documentation after installation?

Yes — every job we complete includes full testing on every run,
labeling at both ends, and a documentation package with a diagram
of your layout. You get this before we leave the site. It’s not
optional. If your IT team or a future contractor needs to work on
your network, they’ll know exactly what they’re looking at.
